Some guy (who's name we don't remember) opened for Colbie Caillat, and while we were sitting there AJ said the music would be great to dance the Merengue (sp?). So since we were celebrating Mandy's birthday (August 31st) a little early, they got up and danced.

Will had way too much fun with shadow puppets.
Treson had a good nap during Colbie Caillat's set.
Will had more fun with shadow puppets.
We had some good lawn seats... until everyone stood up in front of us for the John Mayer set. It's okay, we were back far enough that John just looked like a little white dot.
Colbie sounded AMAZING!
John Mayer is a dork between songs. Will just kept saying, "Stop talking and start singing... you're not funny, but you can sing."
Tre woke up for John Mayer... I think he was upset that the jokes were so bad. That and the fact that the sound was perfect for the 1st two artists, but when John Mayer got up there, they turned it way up, and then it sounded bad/too loud.
John sang pretty well.

Will got really tired, and he had a sniffly nose. But he's cute and I love him to bits!
Basically we had a great time, and I'm still trying to catch up on my sleep. It was up at the Usana Amphitheatre, and that is at least an hour away from the house. The concert was well worth the lack of sleep though. Thank you again, AJ & Mandy, for the tickets.

I love the shadow puppets! That girl looked suspicious that something was going on behind her back (ON her back!) Hee hee. Sounds like the concert was fun.
Glad you enjoyed the concert! Sounds like it was amazing. Oh, and the shadow puppets on that girl's back are hilarious!
I love them both but John Mayer is my hero. I have all is music. Ok, some of it is a little far left politically for me but, I still sing along.
You should totally put up the shadow puppet crab on the internet like youtube. It would be funny if the lady who acted as our puppet stage saw the video.
Fun stuff! Shadow puppets rock!
Hey, Mandy looks familiar. Is she from Cali?
She is from Cali... she used to live in our stake. You probably know her from camp.
I loved the shadow puppets! I definitely agree about putting them on youtube. That would be so funny!
I love John Mayer. I saw him in concert 10 years ago and he was the best.
Thanks for your kind words about my mom. I'm hoping she has a speedy recovery. I'm glad your mom is doing well too.
