I am writing this post with great guilt and embarassment. I was doing a few random things last night at 11 pm, and I realized suddenly... it was my mom's birthday!!!! I can't call her at 11 pm... and to make it worse, I'd talked to her at least
3 times during the day! So I proceeded to send her an e-card, which doesn't make up for it at all, but at least she knows I was thinking about her.
So here's to you, Mom.
Happy Birthday to you!
Happy Birthday to you!
Happy Birthday, dear MOMMY!
Happy Birthday to you!

In other news, I'm preparing for a visit from my in-laws for Thanksgiving. Everyone in the following picture (except Shirley & Anabelle) will be coming to my house on Monday, and staying through Saturday. I'm so excited to see them, but I'm a little worried about what we will do.
We've talked about going to Heritage Park (This is the Place Monument), and possibly Hogle Zoo, but I'm not sure how long I'll last on my feet (I pinched my sciatic nerve over the weekend, and it's not feeling the best). If anyone has some good suggestions of things to do (inside or outside) I'd love to hear them.
By the way, my title refers to my inability to remember my Mom's birthday, not to having my in-laws come visit. Just had to clarify. That could totally be taken the wrong way.

right...we all knew what you meant. :) can't wait to see you in April!
Happy Birthday Sis. Maher!!
same thing happened to me with my dad this week! I felt awful too. So, I called anyways really late, I felt lots better.
I have to laugh at you forgetting cuz that is totally something I would do. However I would have called at 11 p.m.. In regards to the siatic ya good luck, try getting in the pool or warm packs on the spot. They are completely miserable and docs are usually very unsympathetic, at least in my experience. Good luck with that. Michelle N.
See... when stuff like this happens... this is the time to use to tried and true, "i'm sorry, being pregnant has really taken it's toll."
This is an awesome excuse because no one will argue with it.
Then after the baby comes you can say, "Little Eva (pronounced Ay-Vya) is really a handful. Being a mom really makes me: tired, forgetful, stinky, have chronic explosive diareah. (your pick)
IT'S THE BEST EVER!!!!!
