After I went to Babies R Us the first time, I realized that it would be easier to just register for everything at one place, rather than having to remember what I already registered for at the other place, and then keeping up with updating both. (Sorry for the run-on sentence.) Mostly that is because pregnancy makes me as dumb as a box of rocks.
I used to be able to keep up with conversations, the news, television shows, etc, but now all I can try and keep up on is sleep. Not only have I become stupid, but I've become an insomniac. Although not completely. Last night I slept from 2 am (getting to sleep is a completely different issue) until about 11 am this morning, only waking up about 2-3 times to pee/adjust/whatever. However, the night before was crazy. I think I may have slept about 2 hours straight, while the rest of the time was spent tossing and turning, getting up to use the potty, nearly shoving Will out of the bed, yelling at him (I was half asleep) to roll on his side so he'd keep breathing (we're seeing the doctor about sleep apnea next week), pulling up the covers, throwing off the covers, turning on the fan, turning off the fan, and generally getting super frustrated that I wasn't sleeping.
Anyway, I'm realizing I'm complaining, and I don't want anyone to think I'm not excited about this pregnancy. I'm thrilled to be pregnant, just not used to it yet. Any tips on not going completely crazy during this somewhat crazy time?

Oh girl...I'm with you. Whenever those women got up in testimony meeting and talked about how much they loved being pregnant I just wanted to slap them. Hang in there...the prize a the end is totally worth it!
Yesterday on Oprah, Dr. Oz talked about "pregnancy brain". He said the reason we get it is because the baby is taking our omega 3's to develop their own brain. Makes sense.
Sit back relax and everything will go more smoothly. Attitude can make a huge difference. Those were probably the best 27 months of my adult life. Wish I could do it again.
1)Ha, ha! 2)Welcome to the prego club 3)It only gets worse.
Sorry, no useful tips. Love ya!
And are you seriously going to come out here for a baby shower? I think you should!!! :)
I don't remember being that forgetful. (Maybe that's proof that I was after all.) I think I'm a lot more forgetful now that the pregnancy is over and I have someone else to constantly worry about. Don't stress over registering, all the baby really wants are: a place to sleep, a clean diaper, food. Love you!
Everyone knows that you really want to be pregnant and that you really want this baby. We also know that it is awful to be sick, clumsy, forgetful, or whatever the symptom of the day is. I honestly hated every moment of both of my pregnancies. I wouldn't trade my children for the world, but I also dread being pregnant to get them here. Labor was SO much easier for me than being pregnant (and no, there weren't any drugs involved so I felt every minute of it). Good luck, and I recomend lots and lots of lists. The magnetic kind are best because you can keep a whole slew on the fridge (on for target, the grocery store, questons for the doctor, to do list, etc.)
Oh you must be so tired working the next day on only 2 hours of sleep! Hope you could squeeze in a nap. When i was pregnant I'd sneak home for a nap everyday and once missed my office baby shower. good times.

My doctor suggested Nytol to help with insomnia while I was pregnant with Noah. As far as not going crazy, remember there is an end and the prize or reward at the end makes everything worth it.
