The first day we were in Costa Rica, we drove 3 hours from the airport to the little place we stayed called Pueblo Real (thanks Mike & Michelle for letting us use the timeshare!). The closest town is called Quepos. For those who don't know much about Costa Rica it is not an island (lots of people think Costa Rica & Puerto Rico are the same place), it is a country in Central America just north of Panama & south of Nicaragua, and it has coastlines on both the Pacific & Atlantic sides. Quepos is on the Pacific side.
Anyway, by the time we got checked into our condos & settled it was past dark (the sun rises and sets at almost the same time every day of the year, they have 12 hours of daylight from 5 am to 5 pm). The next day after doing a mangrove tour, we drove into Quepos to see the beach and to get some souveniers. Today's photo is a picture of the beach. I'm facing south toward Manuel Antonio National Park (on the other side of the rock formations in the foreground). There was a perfect mist coming up off the water, and I must have taken about 40 pictures, but this is my favorite.
Let me know what you think!
