what we've been doing

No pictures today, sorry... I'm using the old laptop again. We have been relatively busy lately (or at least as busy as I can be on bedrest). Will had his interview at the University of Utah on the 13th, and so far it seems to have gone pretty well. We won't know anything until the end of March, so we're keeping our fingers crossed. I've also had not one but two baby showers in the last month, and we're finally ready to bring this baby home (or at least close enough to make it work for now).

As for the baby, things are going decently. She is growing well, and is super active. I however, am pretty uncomfortable, and I'm ready to be done being pregnant. The doctor is watching me pretty closely because my symptoms are progressing (more headaches, lots more swelling, higher BP). Here's an upside/downside list of things I love or hate about this pregnancy.

Upside: I love feeling the baby kick
Downside: She is really strong and hurts me occasionally.

Upside: I am saving money on our heating bill
Downside: Will is constantly freezing because I had him turn the heat off. I'm really warm all the time.

Upside: I never have to remember to put on jewelry.
Downside: I never go out, and even if I did, none of my jewelry would fit my sausage fingers.

Upside: I get to keep my feet up all the time.
Downside: If I sit straight up, and put my feet on the ground they go tingly, and then numb in less than 15 minutes.

Upside: Will is taking great care of me.
Downside: He is constantly having to hear me complain about my neverending headache.

Upside: This pregnancy should last 2 more weeks
Downside: This pregnancy should last 2 more weeks.

Hopefully on Monday (my next dr appointment), we'll find out when we're being induced. I'll try and post some pictures soon.

ah! she'll be here sooner than you know! and then when she's out after a while- you'll want her back in. she'll want you to carry her every where and sometimes you just long to use both of your arms freely!

Hang in there Nancy.

You're almost there! The end is the hardest in a lot of ways because you are so uncomfortable and nevrous about having a real live baby when it is actually over. And you might not want the baby back in; I never did. Sometimes I wanted to send him/her far far away, but I never ever wanted them back in (I absolutely HATED being pregnant).

Hang in there, Nancy! You're almost done! All of those downside/upside I experienced as well, not quite the as high of BP, of course. But now that I'm two weeks done of being pregnant, by BP is back to normal, my feet are NOT swollen! My ring still doesn't fit, so I'm wondering it that's permanent and i'll need to get it refitted...we'll see. Now, it's just no sleep and healing from the c-section infection! So it'll get better!! Yeah!

Yep, the last few weeks were miserable for me too and I didn't have near the medical problems of BP and swelling that it sounds like you're having. Hopefully you'll feel that it's all worth it after she's here. (Sometimes it is, and like some of the others said about sending them far away or putting them back in --you'll feel like that once in a while too.) Can't wait to see her when she's finally here.

what a great and positive attitude you have. And yeah you are almost done. My sister who is equally as miserab;e but isn't having problems as you are keeps asking me to go to her OB appts. I keep telling her I would love to but they will be ery concerned when they see there is NO baby. I guess it is worth a shot. Hang in there girlie call me if you need company. I will make sure I am bundled. =) Michelle
